Breakfast will be served at the Post for members, including the public, at 8:00 a.m. After breakfast everyone is invited to caravan to Lakeview Cemetery to help put flags on all the Veterans graves.
VFW members Randy Hughes, Lucinda Martinez, and Susan Neff are contacting schools in Waxahachie, and surrounding areas to present information on this program.
Deadline is February 15, 2016.
Judging of the Teacher nomination Essays will be Sunday, February 21st at Post 3894.
Wining teachers - 1 from Elementary School, 1 from middle school, and one from high School will then be contacted to furnish a one page resume, and other documentation that will be sent with the original nominating teachers essay to the next level of this program - VFW District Judging.
Please don't forget: The Waxahachie Civic Center will be celebrating Veterans on Saturday, November 14, 2015 with their traditional Veterans Program at the Civic Center.

Wolter-Ashley Memorial Post 3894 Veterans of Foreign Wars is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War by thanking and honoring Vietnam veterans and their families on Veterans Day November 11 at 6:00pm during our “Welcome Home” event at our post home, 1405 N Interstate 35-E in Waxahachie. This is the first VFW Post 3894 event in support of The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration.
